Paula Bonnecarrere Walsh

Paula was born on September 28th, 1949. She attended Elementary School at St. Catherine of Sienna and moved on to St. Mary’s Dominican High School, where she was a proud member of the marching band and graduated with Honors in the Class of 1967. She continued her education earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Louisiana State University at New Orleans, and a Master’s Degree in Economics at Loyola University. Paula was renowned and well loved by her colleagues in the Insurance Industry, in which she worked for over 40 years.

She was the dedicated mother of two daughters, and was later blessed with two stepsons upon marrying the Love of her Life, David Thomas Walsh. There was nothing on earth that she enjoyed more than being a “Nonna” to her 6 grandchildren.

Paula will be remembered for being a true force of nature, often being the biggest personality in the room, and advocating for her loved ones like none other.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Bonfanti Bonnecarrere, father, Sidney John Bonnecarrere, husband, David Thomas Walsh, aunt and uncle Marie and Joseph Valenza, and beloved cousin Loretta Roth.

She is survived by her brother, Sidney Bonnecarrere, Jr, sister in law Ruby Bonnecarrere, daughters, Paulette and Jaime Bonnecarrere, stepsons Brian and Bret Walsh, grandchildren Gabriella White, Jackson Sullivan, Brendan and Grayson Walsh, Connor and Annie James Walsh, nieces and nephews Jennifer Roth Berthelot, Jefferey Roth, Jonathan Roth, Stephen Bonnecarrere, Sr, and Alisha Pellegrin.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation at St. Dominic’s Church located at 775 Harrison Ave. on Thursday, September 10th at 10am. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11am.
