She is survived by two sisters, Jean A. McCasland of Austin, TX and Susan L. Brown of Houston, TX, as well as nephew, Michael McCasland (Dana) of Round Rock, TX.
She attended the University of Texas in Austin, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in Liberal Arts in 1971 and earning her Juris Doctor with Honors in 1980. Patricia went on to work as an accomplished attorney who specialized in contracts law.
Pat loved art in all forms, classical music, participating in Mardi Gras social groups, travel and supporting rescued animals. Patricia was a current member of Jeanne D’Arc Carnival Marching Carnival Krewe and a former member of the Muses Carnival Krewe.
She had a thirst to learn and was active most recently in history, women’s studies and French literature study groups.
Known for her intelligence, kindness and generous heart, she was deeply passionate about supporting the development and maintenance of no-kill animal shelters. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with friends and her pets.
