Patricia C. Ginn died on October 26, 2026. She was born on March 20, 1937 in Denver, Colorado. She received a B.S. in Education from the University of Texas and was an elementary school teacher for several years before dedicating her life to raising her family.
Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared 59 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Hal, before his passing in 2020. She had a big and generous heart, caring sincerely for everyone she met and often putting others’ needs before her own. She loved animals, especially birds, and was an avid reader. She was deeply rooted in her faith and often found peace in scripture. Most of all, Patricia loved her family and friends profoundly, always ready to enjoy the company of others. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and sacrifice that will live on in all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Dorothy Cannon and her husband, Hal G. Ginn. She is survived by her three children, Holly Gonzales, Thad Gatewood Ginn, and Hal Tyler Ginn and his wife Jennifer Ginn; her grandchildren, James Head, Douglas Whitehead, Christine Whitehead, Garrett Gonzales, Haley Ginn, and Ava Ginn; and her great-grandchildren Sloane and Spencer Head; and her sister Marilyn Gillespie and nephew Dana Gillespie.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Hospital.
Special thanks to the Hospice of Baton Rouge.
