Pamela Meyer Wang

Pamela Meyer Wang passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at her home in New Orleans, Louisiana, surrounded by family and close friends. Beloved widow of the late Charles J. Wang and loving mother of Maeci Wang France (Bruce) and Jonathan Wang (Xuan) of Greensboro, NC. Grandmother of Rhys Zhou France, Quinn Zhen France, Nicholas Charles Wang, and Charlotte Lien Wang. Pamela Wang was the step-daughter of Theone “Patsy” Meyer formerly of Slidell, LA, and the daughter of the late Earl and Betty Jo Meyer. She will be missed greatly by her siblings, Dawn Muscarello (Frank) of Baton Rouge, LA and Earl “Moose” Meyer of Ecuador. She is survived by her siblings-in-law, Andrew Wong (Toy), Anne Taggart (Michael) of Chapel Hill, NC and Maria Kay (Dennis) and step-siblings, Robert Barr (Vivian) of Gauthier, MS and Sandra Barr. Preceded in death by step-brothers Wallace Barr, Jimmy Barr, and Jack Barr. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews including Staci Sundmaker (Trey), Charlie Taggart, Matt Taggart, Danielle Kay, Christian Kay, Andrew Kay, Shelby Sundmaker, Trenton Sundmaker, Delanie Sundmaker, John Barr, and Yvette Barr. She will be forever missed by many lifelong friends including, Galen Smith, widower of the late Darlene Smith, and their daughters, Jade Smith and Hayley Ireland. Her family is forever grateful for the endless support of close friends, Eileen Daspit, Diana Lovell (Kerry), and neighbors Rudy and Deb Lee. Additionally, the Crescent City Community Church congregation helped her in more ways than we can mention throughout her extended illness. Everyone who knew her will miss her radiant smile and positive spirit and as one who never met a stranger. She provided inspiration and spiritual help to many others who were fortunate to know her. Pamela loved gardening, and took great pride in her recent Master Gardener status. To pay our respects to her and her love of her garden, her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service in her garden at 6069 Wingate Drive, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 29, at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to one of her favorite charities, SHADE (http://www.shadetz.org/), an organization that supports orphans in danger in Tanzania, or her dear church community, Crescent City Community Church.
