Nora was known to have a curious mind and an adventurous spirit that shaped her life and inspired everyone around her. Nora grew up with her siblings, Tommie Kay, George Taylor, Ramona Lee and Choupie.
Nora was a loving wife, great mother, fantastic cook and Librarian, but a storyteller at heart. Whether sharing Br’er Rabbit bedtime stories with her children as well as her grandchildren, or before hosting legendary family gatherings and celebrations, she had a gift for weaving love and laughter into every moment. Her favorite place to be was in her chair with a book in hand, as she was an insatiable reader at heart.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion, cherished by her husband of 68 years, Ray; her children, Michael (Terri), Taylor (Cathy) and Tommy (Kathy); and her nine grandchildren, along with three great-grandchildren, all of who were her pride and joy.
Nora, in addition, leaves behind many cherished family members and friends.
Nora’s family invites all who knew her to a celebration of her life on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Gretna United Methodist Church. Bring your favorite story or memory to share as we honor the vibrant, beautiful soul she was.
