Nina Mendoza

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nina Mendoza Villa, who departed this life at the age of 96 on July 3, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She passed in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her devoted family.

Born on May 22, 1929, in Colombia, South America, Nina immigrated to the United States in 1970. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and grace. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Magnolia Desai (Michael Daussin.), Lucelly Arboleda (Luis Alfonso Arboleda,) and Kimberly Arboleda; her cherished grandchildren, Lilly Soraya Desai, Minaxi Desai Chase, Erica Nicole Arboleda, and Jairo Edgar Arboleda; and nine treasured great-grandchildren.

Nina will be remembered for her unwavering love, quiet strength, kindness, and enduring faith. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at the Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum, located at 5200 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124.
