Nicholas James Ieva

Nicholas J. Ieva a.k.a “Nick Faro”, 76, “went home” on January 16, 2018. Poppa Nick, as he was affectionately known by his family, was born in Stamford, CT and resided in the Metairie area. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Ieva, his children, Christopher, Sherry (Brett), Clinton (Kristie), and Lisa, and a host of adoring grandchildren, Addison, Kaley, Nathan, Avery, Emma, and Jacob.

Nick is a United States Navy veteran who served on the air craft carrier, Intrepid. In addition to his routine duties, he was also a vocalist in the admiral’s band. After naval career, his love for music brought him to many stages across the country, singing for many an audience. Poppa enjoyed watching his LSU football, spending time with his family, telling jokes and amazing stories of his life, and being outside watching the birds. Poppa was a great man with a kind, gentle heart and this world was made better for the time God allowed us to have him here.
