Michael Recasner

Michael Recasner, Sr. peacefully passed on February 5, 2019 in Marrero, LA after his battle with Lung Cancer. Michael was born in New Orleans and lived in Fort Worth, TX after Katrina before returning to Louisiana. His professional life included employment with Delta Towers, New Orleans & Fort Worth Housing Authorities and The New Orleans Fair Grounds and Racing Course.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Barquet Recasner, his parents Louis & Almettia Recasner and his brother Louis, Jr. He is survived by his children Michael, Jr. (Natalie), Trenyese, Cheryl Webb, Latrese Moore (Kennedy) and Malik Recasner. His grandchildren Thomas Jackson, Mylekea, Michael & Mykeisha Williams, Torielle Tyler, Michaela Recasner, Sa’Darius Recasner, Akasia & Akil Webb, Jr., and Phoenix & Nova Moore and his great grand kids. He’s also survived by his siblings Diane Robertson, Almettia Quetant, Anthony, Joann Snipes, Alma Moore, Dorothy, Alfredia, Tyrone and Terry Recasner. His memories will be cherished by all his family and friends.

We the family would like to thanks JPS Health Systems, St. Thomas Community Health Clinics, Ochsner Health System and The Guardian Angels Hospice Agency for their continuous care for Michael throughout the course of his treatment. We will also like to thank the HCA Hope Fund and Neptune Society for their help with making the final arrangements.

We will all remember Michael Recasner, Sr. for his humor and pleasant way of dealing with everyone he’s come in contact with.
