Melvin Stephen Guillot

Melvin Stephen Guillot passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer and heart failure. He was born in Belle Rose, LA on April 8, 1940.

Beloved husband of Marlene Breaux Guillot for over 60 years. Father of Daniel Anthony and Connie Lynn Guillot. Grandfather of Sheana Dufrene (Michael), Troy Langlinais (Angel), Terry Langlinais, Erica Guillot, and Michael Guillot. Great-grandfather of Taye, Madison, Breanna, Megan, and Destiny. Brother of Margaret Guillot Phillips (Jr.). Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

Preceded in death by his father, Albert Guillot, his mother, Helen Gros Guillot, his daughter, Bonnie Sue Guillot Langlinais (Troy), his sisters, Barbara “Jean” Guillot Phillips (the late Marion) and Erline Gros Bernard (AJ), and by his granddaughter, Brandy Lynn Guillot.

Melvin was a lifetime resident and retired Police Sergeant of Westwego, LA. He loved spending time at his camp hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Honoring his wishes, interment was private.
