Lori was born and raised in her beloved city of New Orleans, and everyone who knew Lori knew she lived for her grandchildren. Not a single week went by in which Lori didn’t surround herself with the love and laughter of her grandchildren’s’ presence. She always made time to show her grandchildren how much they meant to her, whether it was reading books, painting pictures, attending ballgames, ceremonies, and graduations, or countless hours together at City Park, you could always find Lori celebrating them; to Lori, her grandchildren were the light of her world.
Lori was an avid reader and loved drinking coffee at any time of the day. She was also an extremely loyal person and she prided herself on a job well done; she spent the last decade working at Commander’s Palace proving just so. Lori was a devoted mother and a selfless friend and always spoke her mind. Her laugh, her generosity, and her presence will be greatly missed by all that loved her.
Lori was the proud mother of Amber Schaff (Billy) and Tommy McMillan (Ashley); the cherished maw-maw of Joshua Morrissey, Mikki Morrissey, Jaci Sire, Brooklyn McMillan, and Addison McMillan; and the sister of Richard Schaff (Nataliya) and Robert Schaff (Catherine). She is remembered fondly by countless nieces and nephews, as well as close friends and other relatives.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Robert Schaff, her beloved husband, Mickey McMillan, and her son, Justice Fenerty.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Lori’s Life at Woodland Presbyterian Church, 5824 Berkley Dr., New Orleans, LA 70131 on July 9th, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
Arrangements entrusted to Neptune Society of New Orleans, 3801 Williams Blvd. Suite A, Kenner, LA 70065. 504-464-3095.
