Loretta Lorraine Acosta Lafrance

“Titta,” as she was lovingly known, was born to Rosemary and Herman Acosta, Sr., and raised in St. Bernard. She married Arthur Lee Lafrance, Sr.; and they made their home in Braithwaite, Plaquemines Parish, where they raised their family. She worked for and retired from Plaquemines Parish Government.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband and their children, Lee Lafrance (Sharon), Lori Meyers (Dwayne), Michael Lafrance, and Michele Lafrance (Kim Alfonso); a brother, Herman Acosta, Jr. (Gloria); their grandchildren, Brittany Kestler (Desi D. Romano), Brett Lafrance (Crystalyn), Elaine Meyers, Stephanie Lafrance, and Celina Lafrance-Melerine; and their great-grandchild, Sidney Romano. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who was blessed to have a large and loving extended family.

Her family is grateful for the caregivers, friends, and family who provided her with comfort during her last days. Special thanks are offered to Eric Acosta, her nephew, for opening his heart and home to her.

To honor her wishes, a memorial service was held privately.
