Lawrence Edward Temple

Lawrence Edward Temple passed away after a brief illness on Monday, March 12, 2018 at home. Beloved husband of the late Peggy Sanders Temple for 62 years. Loving father of Debra T. Bertrand (husband, Paul). Devoted grandfather of Blaine Bertrand (wife, Jayne), Melissa Eitmann (husband, Daniel) and Lacey Esponge (husband, Blake). Great-grandfather of Corey, Paige, Emma, and Brody Bertrand, Andrew and Jacob Eitmann, and Ella and Eli Esponge. Son of the late Prather and Otis Abernathy Temple. Brother of the late Frances Carter and Norwood Temple. Mr. Temple, age 86, was born in Warren, AR. He was a long time resident of Hahnville, LA. Mr. Temple was a former employee of Monsanto and owned a TV Sales/Service business. He enjoyed playing the fiddle and blue grass music. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Luling, LA. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of East Jefferson Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospice, Brigitte Williams and family and friends for all their assistance and kindness during this difficult time. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lawrence Temple to First Baptist Church of Luling, P.O. Box 155, Luling, LA 70070 would be welcomed by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Neptune Society of New Orleans.
