June "June Bugg" Marie Olano

June is survived by her children, Maria Elena Matherne (Timmie), Rob Sanchez (Suz), and Sharla Sanchez St. Pe; she was loved as Granny by, Marissa, Sloan, Kenny, and Gatlin; she will forever be GiGi to Parker Ren and six other cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Paul Olano (Mary), and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly especially her “Boopsie” Alex and Kimbo.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bobby Sanchez, and her parents, Nolia Guilliot Olano and Paul Olano.
June, known as June Bugg to her friends and family, was a native of Gretna and a resident of Marrero for most of her adult life.

After retiring from an extensive career at the Jefferson Parish School Board, June became a longtime member of the Harvey Golden Age Club, serving proudly as the Club’s president for 15 years.

June, a loving and charismatic woman who lit up any room she stepped into, will be fondly remembered by “her club” and dearly missed by all who bowled, danced, or spent time with her in any way. She has left an enduring legacy of strength, perseverance, joy, and adventure etched on the hearts of many.
