Joyce Hanemann Couget Mills

Beloved wife of the late Andre J. Couget, Jr. by first marriage and the late William T. Mills, Jr. by second marriage. Devoted mother of Andre Paul (wife Marge), John Edward, and Richard Charles (wife Kathy) Couget. Daughter of the late Alfred E. Hanemann, Jr. and Lydia Seghers Hanemann. Sister of the late Shirley Hanemann Butler. Grandmother of Ryan, Alyse, Randy, Joshua, and Evan.

Mrs. Mills was born in New Orleans, LA and has resided in Metairie, LA for the past several years. She was a devout Catholic, Eucharistic Minister, and fierce advocate for her son, John. She always had a smile, dearly loved her family and friends, and was a shining light for living the Catholic faith.

Friends and Family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass followed by a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 4921 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA 70001. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM with Mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment immediately to follow at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, 3421 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, LA 70119. Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters in City Park, 3 Victory Ave., New Orleans, LA 70124.
