John Julius Nugent III

John Julius Nugent, III age 64 of Covington, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019. Born September 20, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late John Julius Nugent Jr. and Helen Latuso Nugent.

Johnny was an inspiration to everyone that knew him. He was a very giving man and he loved unconditionally. He had the brightest smile, a contagious laugh, and a joke for everything. He was grateful for all that he had. It didn’t take long for him to give nicknames to everyone he knew.

In his early years he developed a passion for drag racing which he was able to pass along to his son. He enjoyed spending time in his mancave drinking beer, watching the Saints, using his many talents of woodworking, welding, and being a handy man.

Survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Dona Nugent, his son - John Nugent IV and daughter in law Cortney P. Nugent, sisters - Leslie Hass (Jeff) and Jackie Nugent. He will be missed by many loving family members and friends.

Please join the family on Saturday, April 27th at the Bogue Falaya Hall located at 317 N. Jefferson Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 4:30. Services will begin at 4:30 with a celebration of his life to follow and conclude at 7:00. Casual attire requested.
