John Sharr Carson passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the age of 45. John was originally from Detroit, Michigan, but has been a longtime resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, and loved getting to ride on the open road. John was a guide and a friend to all who knew him, constantly trying to share his love of the world with everyone he knew. He encouraged his family to live their lives to the fullest, to travel, and to experience all the different cultures and learn about the wonderful differences that made us all unique. John loved learning about different religions and was a very spiritual man, never tying himself to any one religion. In his love of history and different cultures, he began studying philosophy and earned a bachelor’s degree in both philosophy and history. More than anything else, John loved his family; he was always available to spend time with his children and grandchildren and pass on his love of life to them. John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. John is survived by his former wife, who remains his best friend, Traci A. Carson, his daughters, Candace A. Sahuque, Courtney A. Truax, and Chelsea A. Carson, and his grandchildren, Christian Sahuque, Carolena Sahuque, and Chanel Truax. He is also survived by his brother and best friend, Sahir “Frank” Kizy, his sister, Amy Kayne Oberlee, his mother, Deborah McVicker Carson, and many other loving relatives and friends. John is preceded in death by his father, John R. Carson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of John's Life at Mazaj Cafe, 3244 Georgia Ave, Kenner, LA 70065 on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 12 Noon until 3PM.
