September 22, 1944 – April 28, 2023
Obituary of James Richard Rizzuto
James Richard Rizzuto died peacefully in the early morning hours of April 28th, 2023.

He was born on September 22nd, 1944, in Sebring, Florida. His parents moved to Parker, Florida in 1946, where he grew up.

James was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served four years on the U.S.S. Neosho from February 13th, 1962, through January 20th, 1966. He met and married his wife Judy, of New Orleans, Louisiana on May 1st, 1965.

James worked for the Chrysler company in Detroit, Michigan. He later worked as a loan officer for Town Credit Corporation in New Orleans, Louisiana for many years, later becoming the President of the corporation.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Rizzuto, and Mabel S. Rizzuto, as well as his beloved wife and mother of their children, Judith T. Rizzuto.

James is survived by his sister, Evelyn R. Allen. He is also survived by his three children and six grandchildren: Tara Rizzuto Clark and son Michael J. Clark, Rick Rizzuto, wife Amy H. Rizzuto and their daughter, Laryn E. Rizzuto, son Hunter Rizzuto, and daughter, Lori A. Rizzuto and her three children, Destiny M. Trevino, Cameron C. Frisby and Brendan J. Hutchinson.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Southeastern Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve, Louisiana and the staff of Serenity Hospice, as both were very communicative, compassionate and kind through our father’s transitioning. We are both appreciative and grateful for their help during this time.

A private family memorial gathering is to be held in June 2023, and he is to be laid to rest with his family in Parker, Florida at a later date.
