He was born in New Orleans and as a young man he served as a Marine and was a veteran of the Korean War. He met and married his beloved wife, Yvonne McDonald Molinary, with whom he spent 69 years of marriage, just prior to being shipped overseas.
He later became an electrician at IBEW Local 130, where he later retired. He was an avid boater and lover of Nascar and all things auto related.
George is preceded in death by his father Paul J. Molinary, mother Thelma Church Molinary, his brothers, Lester Paul, Thomas Peter, Guy Robert, and Eugene Casey, and his sisters, Mary Mildred Alessi and Rose Mary Tripani.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne McDonald Molinary, son George Reyer Molinary, Jr. (Georgia Dwyer Molinary), granddaughter Jessie Dwyer Kittel (Drayton Kittel), and great-grandchildren, Oliver Nash Kittel, Cora Jane Kittel, and Hank Ezra Kittel.
The family would like to give special thanks to the VA Palliative Care and Passages Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our George in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Southeastern Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, LA, 70460 on November 3, 2023 at 1:30pm. A celebration of life will be held at George and Georgia’s home directly following the burial.
