George Francis Eckert Jr.

He was born on February 28th, 1940 in New Orleans where he grew up until moving to New Iberia, Louisiana. He graduated from New Iberia High School and received his undergraduate and graduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later worked as a sulfur market analyst for Freeport McMoran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George Francis Eckert, Sr. and Iras Rasch Eckert, and his brother Jonathan Eckert. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Roberta Stockstill Eckert, nephew Gregory Eckert (Lauren) and niece Virginia West.
