He resided in Old Metairie with his fiancée, Ashley Kelley. He will be sadly missed by his mother, Nelda Reed, and his father, Juan Davila, Sr. Gary also leaves behind his sisters and brothers, Andrea Bostick, Melissa Arias, Juan Davila, Jr., Tina D. Clanton, Ruby D. Alvarez, Robert Davila, and Melissa D. Huerta. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will all miss him dearly. After graduating from Bonnabel High School, Gary enlisted in the U.S. Navy with his best friend, Glenn Thibodeaux. He proudly served his country during the Gulf War on the U.S.S. Groton. Gary was an intelligent and funny guy that everyone loved. He was a diehard fan of the New Orleans Saints, and he also loved LSU Football. Gary was a talented drummer and loved to sing Karaoke. He was the life of the party and loved to be with his family and friends. As his final act of kindness and generosity, Gary gave the gift of life through organ donation so that others could have more time with their loved ones. He is our hero. A Memorial Service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Elks Lodge, 2215 Cleary Ave., Metairie, LA 70001.
