Frank Edward White Sr.

Frank “Red” White, Sr. passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Ochsner Medical Center North Shore in Slidell, LA. Loving father of Johnny White (wife, Tammy), Virginia “Ginger” Gredig (husband, Johnny), Frank White, Jr., and Donna White. Grandfather of Johnny Jr., Matthew, Michael, Damion, Destani, Drew, Dymond, Gage, Regan, Rachel, and Aaron. Great-grandfather of Johnny III, Preston, Holland, Mia, and Stephanie. Son of the late Frank and Ethel White. Brother of Joan Bonham (husband, Mike). Preceded in death by Jughead, his beloved pet, companion, and best friend. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Red worked for the New Orleans Fire Department for over 20 years before retiring as Captain. He spent his free time at his fish pond or farming, and would boast about his record of over 6,000 wins in Freecell. His children and his dog were his greatest joys in life, and he always made sure to make it to his traditional Monday brunch with his fellow retired fire fighters. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gloria Michellat, Fred, and Linda for all of their love and support during this difficult time.
