Evelyn "DeeDee" Ripoll

Evelyn “DeeDee” Ripoll passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at her home in Kenner, LA surrounded by her loving family. DeeDee was a compassionate and caring friend to anyone she met, and she enjoyed spending her time on the computer keeping up with her friends. More than anything, DeeDee loved good cooking, and nobody could cook for her better than her beloved husband, Tony. DeeDee loved having all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren over for family gatherings, and was eager to share Tony’s good food with everyone. She often put other people ahead of herself, and cared about everyone else’s needs before her own. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed enough to have her in their lives. DeeDee is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony “Tony” Ripoll, her sons, Huey Sprunk, Jr. (wife, Kathy) and Philip “P.J.” Sprunk (wife, Cindy), and her step-son, Michael Ripoll. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Michael, Kristin, Philip “P.J.” Jr., Jade, and Stephanie, as well as eleven great-grandchildren. DeeDee was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Baldwin and Stella Sutherland Baldwin, her step-son, Dudley Ripoll, her brothers, Charles Baldwin and Philip Baldwin, and her sister, Kathy Sigur. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Pkwy., Kenner, LA 70065 on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Noon. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094.
