Erika Luckie Williams Green

Erika Luckie Williams Green passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the age of 50 years old. Born on January 16, 1972, in Metairie, Louisiana, she grew up in Kenner and Covington. She graduated from Saint Scholastica Academy in 1990 and attended Louisiana Tech University. She was living in Covington at the time of her death.

Erika loved her family, her friends, and her dogs with her whole heart. She had a passion for all animals, especially for horses and dogs. Born on Superbowl Sunday in 1972, Erika was a lifelong football fan, especially of the New Orleans Saints and University of Georgia Bulldogs.

Preceded in death by her father Richard L. Williams Sr. and brother-in-law Bill Randall. She is survived by her husband, Matthew “Trey” Green III, and her daughter, Chloe Isabella Williams, whom she adored; her mother Helen Williams; sister, Sharon Lynne Williams Andrews and brother-in-law, Brian Andrews; sister, Donna Lisa Williams; brother, Richard Lee Williams Jr. and sister-in-law Jayne Bayley Williams; her beloved dogs, Bentley, Bitsy, and Harper; nephews and nieces, Greg Terpevich, Evan Evangeline Williams Andrews, Ryan Louis Williams, Jonah Scott Williams Andrews, Cary Skylar Randall; and one great-nephew, Roman Louis Williams.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Erika’s life at a memorial service at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 6017 Camphor St. in Metairie, on Friday, January 27, 2023, at noon, with visitation beginning at 11 AM. The Rev. Tim Barnes of St. Matthew’s will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the Memorial Service.
