Edward Francis Hoffman II

Edward Francis Hoffman II, 73, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Hoffman attended Mater Dolorosa School, and graduated from De La Salle High School and L.S.U. He worked as a support technical engineer for Pellerin-Milnor Corporation for 32 years, where he was a member of the company baseball team. Mr. Hoffman was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Junior Achievement leader, and a member of the German Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Sharon Luckette Hoffman; his children, Yvette (Brian) Draughon, Edward Hoffman III and Melissa Bird; his grandchildren, Amanda and Hailey Draughon, and Stephen and Brayden Bird; his nieces, Julie Galliano, Lisa Hoffman, Denise (Archie) Whelan, and Becky (Paul) Stritzinger; and his sister-in-law, Gail Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerard Hoffman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Riverside Baptist Church, 9220 Jefferson Hwy, River Ridge, LA, on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. A reception at the Hoffman residence will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to a cause that was dear to his heart, Children’s Hospital New Orleans. Arrangements entrusted to the Neptune Society.
