Edgar George Hamilton was the epitome of a gentleman. Kind, accepting, always sincere. You couldn't help being affected by him. I wish for more like him on this Earth. You are gone much too soon my friend ~ Rest in Heaven's arms.

I met Edgar and his siblings at Iberville High School. They had come from California. I got to know them and spent lots of time with them. My condolences and sympathy goes out to this family.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot Heal.  Edgar and the Hamilton Family was such good neighbors while living on Meriam Street. 

Edgar take your wings and fly high to your destination!!!  Your work down here on earth has spoken for you!!

Words cannot express the joy that Edgar brought to my life.  We attended SUNO together and I would not have graduated from College without him. He knew COBOL like our Instructor and would tutor us on Saturdays; we were a team through all classes.  We worked together at the Naval Support Activity and I am just lost for words.  We were friends for over 30 years. 
Edgar has shared many fond memories of your family with me throughout the years.  I feel like I know you; even though I have never met any of you. I saw Edgar at Walgreen's on Morrison after the tornado and we chit chatted as usual.  I would see him at grocery stores by chance occasionally. We were friends for over 30 years.  

Your family will remain in my prayers and just stay strong like I know he is expecting.

Peace & Prayers to the Family   R.I.P. Edgar

To the Hamilton Family, I am at a loss for words during this sorrowful time. Please know that I am thinking of you and praying for peace and comfort.

Words seem inadequate to express the sorrow felt by the loss of Edgar. My heart is with you.

But Earth hath no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal

For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Some people come into our lives, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same.

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.

When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.

Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.

While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil.

May tender memories soften your grief, May fond recollection bring you relief, And may you find comfort and peace in the thought Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought... For time and space can never divide Or keep your loved one from your side.

Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten.

Someone as special as Edgar will never be forgotten. He will remain in our hearts forever.

I pray that in the midst of your sorrow you find comfort in all the joyful memories shared.

I will always cherish the beautiful memories of Edgar.

Edgar will be greatly missed but his warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever.

We are sorry to hear of Edgar's passing.  We are praying for God's peace and comfort to strengthen each of you during your time of bereavement and beyond.

Edgar was a polite man and He will be missed.  I attended his retirement ceremony,  I was happy and sad but I knew that he wanted to retire.  Edgar was a good and helpful man.  If you needed anything at SPAWAR NOLA, Edgar assured me and acted on that promise. I will miss him.

I worked with Edgar for many years at SPAWAR in New Orleans. He was always eager and HAPPY to help anyone who needed his help.  He had a great attitude and devotion to his job and took pride in his accomplishments. We were fortunate that he was with us for many years and we will never forget that or him.

Although we can't be with you while you remember your loved one, you're in our thoughts from afar.

Edgar was a great American, Marine and longtime employee of SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic in NOLA.  RIP Edgar....you are already missed!
