Today makes 2 years that you have been gone, baby. I still can't believe it. I miss you so much....those cowboy boots stomping around, us singing together, you dancing like James Brown, and listening to you making that long, low train whistle sound. Our home is quiet now. Totally. Utterly. Quiet. You left suddenly and unexpectedly with no time for goodbyes. You left for work that morning and....I never saw you again. I hope that you were able to carry my love for you with you on your journey. I really hope and pray that the wonderful, fun loving spirit that was you lives on somewhere, in another place that I can't see. I'm reminded of the words of a country song:

It'll be two years coming up...it doesn't feel right not having you here. I miss you paran. I wish I would have been able to have a drink with you before you left. I hope you're proud of me. You and mawmaw both. 

It's been a year and a half now, and it still tears my heart out to see your picture in an obituary. An OBITUARY?! Has this really happened? Does anybody else visit this site anymore? I am heartbroken and lost without you. Your absence is like the sky....spread over everything. No more boots stomping around, no more singing. Our home is silent now. So very silent. Where are you now, my love?

I can't believe it's been a year now since you left us. It's been so hard letting go of the future I thought we had. I promised to love you for the rest of your  life. I kept that promise. And now I promise to hold you in my heart for the rest of mine. As long as there is a breath in my body, you will not be forgotten. I will love you forever, Papa Squirrel. Until we meet again.......

It's been a long time since the last time we saw each other. And not one went by that I never stoped loving you. We had great times you and I, you were my best friend. I loved you so much in all these years that went by. This morning when I woke up, I was so blessed, that you came to me in my dream. We were at a pool party, like we were all those years ago, I ran up to you and gave you a big and tight hug. I asked you if you were ok, and you told me yes. If felt so real. I know now you came to me in my dream to let me know that you were ok. I thank you my beautiful friend, for letting me know that you were ok. I will miss you forever more. God, I am lost without you. I don't know how I can do this. You went to work and never came home. Well, I guess you did go home....to your eternal home with Him. After 13 years together, I am heartbroken. I miss you so much, baby, and I will love you forever. This still doesn't seem real to me. God help me.

I was praying for you and your brothers the day before you passed. Reminding God it was Your Mom who brought me to church growing up .. I prayed that day that NONE of my Nans Boys miss Heaven because of her Faithfulness.. ( Proverbs 11:21) Your with your Family Again  ♥
