David Essex Williams was born on Tuesday, August 1, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Joseph Young Williams, Jr., and Marie Wallace Williams. He was the fourth of many children. He left this mortal life on Monday, September 18, 2017, 10:20 a.m. at the age of 73. David was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marie, his sisters, Marion, Annie, and Audrey Alexander, and his brothers, Herbert and Alvin. Dave was an avid lover of animals and a jack of all trades: mechanic, carpenter, hunter and fisherman, builder of model trains, cook, artist, and cars, including building a white on white 1970’s Grand Prix. David was also very resourceful he worked in many industries: the railroad system, an animal hospital, restaurants, food cold storage, and construction. Those who know Dave, knew he was the life of the party – music, games, fun, Western “shoot’em ups”, beverages and good food. His creed was always, if you can catch it, he can cook it.
