Born on February 27, 1944, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, beautiful smile, sense of humor, and the love he so freely gave to others.
David will be remembered for his kind heart, his beautiful smile, his sense of humor, and the love he so freely gave to the people around him. He was the kind of person whose presence made a difference. His stories, laughter, and the memories shared around the table, at family gatherings, and during the simple moments of everyday life will be treasured for generations to come.
Family meant everything to David. He loved his wife, Daisy, his children, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, his brothers and sister, and all of the family that surrounded him. He took pride in his family and cherished the time they shared together. The love he gave them will continue to live on in each of them.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Daisy Virginia Carr; his daughters and their spouses, Jennie Carr Hebert and Joseph Hebert, and Jeanette Carr and Patrick Cotton; his grandchildren, Dustin Hebert and Jasmine Hebert Arena; his granddaughter’s husband, Stephen Arena; and their son, Ryatt David Arena. He is also survived by his dearest friends, Dave and Leslie Durnen.
He is loved by his siblings and their spouses: Kennth and Norma Carr; Florence Carr Stevens and Carl Stevens; Clifford and Pat Carr; Floyd and Ruby Carr, current spouse Linda Carr; Luey and Bonnie Carr; Ty Jr. and Carmen Carr; Tom and Lana Carr; Charles and Debbie Carr.
David leaves behind much more than family—he leaves behind a lifetime of memories. He leaves behind stories that will be told again and again, laughter that will never be forgotten, and a love that will continue to be felt even though he is no longer here.
There will be days when his family wishes they could hear his voice, see his smile, or sit beside him one more time. But they will carry him with them—in their hearts, in their memories, and in the love they share with one another.
Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we are grateful for the years we were blessed to have David with us. We will hold close every memory, every laugh, every story, and every moment we were given.
David may no longer be sitting at the table with us, but he will always have a place there in our hearts.
Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.
Rest peacefully, David. You were deeply loved, you will be greatly missed, and you will never be forgotten.
