She was reunited with the hand of her husband, who embraced her and led her through the pearly white gates to be with their Lord and Savior. She was born on August 27th,1973, graduated from Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi before moving back to Louisiana where she started a family and spent the rest of her days.
Crystal was known for being incredibly selfless and giving. Friends and family say she always thought of others first and would give someone all she had left, or the shirt off her back, if it meant they were taken care of. Even in her last moments she proved her selflessness by donating her kidneys to save the lives of two.
Crystal is survived by her two daughters, Belle Baker and Sheridan Baker; one sister, Pam Clark (Gary); and her first cousin, who was much more like a sister and best friend, Sherry Kennedy Marse (Lloyd). Crystal was preceded in death by her loving husband of 17 years, Ronnie Baker and her parents, John H Kennedy and Beryl Perron Kennedy.
As Crystal requested, a funeral will not be held but a celebration of life will take place. Details will be provided as soon as they are arranged.
As we said for Ronnie, we’ll now say for Crystal, “How lucky was I to have someone who made saying goodbye so hard.”
