Bridgett passed away on February 9, 2025, at LCMC Touro Hospital in New Orleans, LA after a brief illness. She was 46 years old.
Bridgett was born in Eugene, OR and was raised in Lincoln, MA. She was educated in the Lincoln-Sudbury schools and the Modern Welding Technical School in Schenectady, NY. She further educated herself through extensive travel across the USA.
Bridgett was creative and passionate about everything she pursued. She thrived in the fast-paced environment of fine dining restaurant kitchens. She valued the camaraderie of her colleagues and took pride in planning, preparing and presenting delicious and visually stunning food. Bridgett was a valued team member of several notable New Orleans restaurants including Atchafalaya Restaurant, Emeril’s 34, and Emeril’s Delmonico.
Bridgett was an animal advocate throughout her life. She is missed by her loyal companions, Leo and Sweet Potato and their predecessors: Beau, Sandy, Galena, Isotope and Truffle.
Bridgett married Brandon Bourg in New Orleans in 2008. She was the daughter of Jerry Jennings of MA and Kathryn Egan of NC.
Arrangements were provided by The Neptune Society of Kenner, LA. No service is planned. Friends are asked to keep Bridgett’s memory alive in their hearts in their own way.
