Bob Wayne Tate

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Bob was an avid athlete and attended Auburn University. After meeting the love of his life, Glenda, wife of 53 years, they moved to the midwest where Bob graduated from Washburn University with a degree in Business Administration and welcomed two daughters.

Bob worked with Ethyl/Albemarle Corporation. Bob completed the Executive Program at LSU College of Business in 1994. Bob took his family on many camping trips throughout the southeast. He was an active member of South Baton Rouge Church of Christ for many years. After retiring from Albemarle, Bob worked for Celtic Marine and retired again to do woodworking.

Bob is survived by his wife, Glenda, children Shannon (Marc) and April, grandchildren Landon, Kennedy, and Luke, and brother Joe (Jan). He is preceded in death by his parents B.G. and Mary Tate.
