Barbara G Age, 87, of N.O., LA passed away Peacefully August 16, 2023. She was born in N.O., LA to Her Mother Eunice Matthieu, and Her Father Harold Grammer. She was a Member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Ave., N.O., LA and Baptized on June 14,1936. She Believed in God the Father, Jesus Christ, as the Son of God, The Holy Spirit, Christ Second Coming, The Day of Judgment, and Salvation.
What Life meant to her was making Positive Connections with Others, Providing for Her Family, and Living an Independent, Successful Life.
She always Wished Wealth, Good Health, and Happiness for Her Four Children, Angela Age Hill (George Hill), Gina Age Henry (The Late Thomas Henry), Louis G. Age Jr., and Julie Age; Her Grandchildren, Timmy Perry Jr., Tamia Age Smith, Ashley Henry, and Asia Henry; Her Great-Grandchildren, Timmy Perry III, Kaisyn Smith, Konnor Smith, and Kori Smith- (Conceived and Awaiting Her Arrival)
She had Four Sisters, Whyuline Gaspard, Shirley Mathieu, Greta Lions(Survivor), Pamela Brown, and One Brother, Robert Mathieu (Survivor).
Her Survivors also Include All her Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, and Nephews, Cousins, Her Friend/Sister Lillian Justin, and many other Special Friends.
She Loved Sewing and Making Beautiful Seasonal Wreaths. She Remembered Fondly when Her Mother Owned The Nightcap Lounge, Claiborne Ave., N.O., LA., Many, Many Fun times There. She had a Wonderful Time going to Mardi Gras Balls Every Year. She Enjoyed Cooking, and Homemaking. Her Favorite Place was Home.
She viewed Herself as an Independent, Strong Woman, A Self Confident, Good Mother, A Virtuous Woman.
She Enjoyed Working with Kids at Orleans Parish Schools. She also Loved being a Caretaker later in Life for the Elderly, and Children. She Loved Caring for Others. She Loved All Her Family and Friends.
