Born at the historic Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, Anna possessed a classic local spirit—warm, resilient, and deeply connected to her community.
For most of her adult life, Anna worked as a bartender, a profession that perfectly suited her outgoing nature. She truly loved meeting new people and had a rare gift for talking with individuals from all walks of life. To Anna, no one was a stranger for long, and her warmth and quick conversation left a lasting impression on countless people over the years.
Anna’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her loving brother, Reginald “Reggie” Hartline; her two devoted sons, Reginald Ford and John Ford with his wife, Kay; her grandson, Markus Lasseigne; her beloved niece, Joycelyn Steib with her husband Al Steib; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Wartmann and Laura Corass Hartline; her two brothers, Eugene “Buddy” Wartmann and Ronald “Ronnie” Hartline; her three sisters, Lorita, Joycelyn, and Violet; and dear relatives who went before her.
In accordance with Anna's wishes, there will be no formal services. Her family will gather privately to honor her life, toast to her memory, and celebrate the many years they shared together.
