Kimberly and Kathryn.
After graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in the field of microbiology, he began his career as a high school teacher. He became the quality control manager for the Sealtest Dairy Corporation and later worked for the State of Louisiana
monitoring water quality and obtaining a certified captain’s license. Later he became active in
the real estate business, acquiring his broker’s license. He also joined with his partner to form a professional fishing guide service. He had a great love of the outdoors and was known as an
outstanding fisherman, with an intimate knowledge of the saltwater marshes of southeastern
Louisiana. Over the years he traveled widely – from New England to Russia to Thailand and
beyond. He was active in his church and had many friends throughout the New Orleans area.
A celebration of Life Service will be held in Alvin’s honor on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at
7:00 p.m. at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 1434 Nashville Avenue, New Orleans. In lieu of
