Allen Lee Acy Jr.

Allen Lee Acy, Jr. passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at North Oaks Hospital at the age of 62. He was born September 16, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up in Terrytown, Louisiana. He was a graduate of River Oaks Academy in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Husband of Jolene Jackson Acy. Beloved son of Allen Lee Acy, Sr. and Peggy McGinty Acy. Father of Jason Michael Rooney and Jeanne Elizabeth Jackson Denning, and grandfather of Nolan Patrick Berry. Brother of the late Steven Bryant “Stevie” Acy, Sr. and Shawn Acy Dufrene. Survived by several brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Mr. Acy is the grandson of the late Joseph Lee Acy, Hilda Songy Acy, George Preston McGinty, and Fay Quinlan McGinty. Son-in-law of John William Jackson, Sr. and Shirley Behler Jackson. Allen Acy was much beloved and will be missed by all his family, friends and past co-workers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service at The Four Columns located at 3711 Westbank Expressway Harvey, LA on Sunday, February 25th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Join Jolene’s ALS Journey. A box will be located at the memorial service.
