Adam John Carey

Adam John Carey passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Beloved husband of Lisa Phelps Carey. Loving father of Chelsey Jones. Loving step-father of Caitlin Nall and Tess Givans. Son of Sunset Carey and step-mother, Carol Carey of Sulphur, LA. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Adam was the proud owner of Adam’s Family Services. An active member and humble servant of Celebration Church – Westbank and River Church, Adam spent much of his time serving the people of his church. He spent his Thanksgiving serving food to other members, and when he wasn’t serving food he was cooking it. Adam was a true Cajun man through and through; he loved the outdoors and fishing, and would wrestle alligators when he was home in Sulphur. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at River Church (formerly Cornerstone Fellowship), 2418 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA 70058 on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11 AM. A visitation and repass gathering will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, please bring your fondest memories of Adam to share at his visitation and repass gathering, or share them on Adam’s Facebook page which will be made public so that everyone can honor his memory.
