Monte was born on December 4, 1929 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Harold and Cecil (Fulmer) Montis. Even at the age of 88 and after living in several different places Sioux Falls would always be home to him. On the evening of March the 8th, 2018 he passed at Garden Terrace in Overland Park, Kansas.
Monte was a natural salesman never having met a stranger in his life. Monte worked for a variety of different companies such as Shasta Beverage, Cadbury-Mondelez International, Fairmont Foods, and Balls Price Chopper there wasn’t a product he couldn’t sell! You could find him out on the golf course (his favorite sport) or hunting and fishing in his spare time. He loved visiting in South Dakota and seeing the scenic Black Hills. He remained a member of the Sioux Falls American Legion and the Shriner’s in Topeka.
On May 11, 1963 Monte married the love of his life Frances (Fran) Marie Ceck in South Dakota. They had a beautiful 55 year marriage and raised a beautiful family.
