Wanda Lee Crandall (Dierking), 86, died peacefully on April 15, 2025. Wanda was born on May 25, 1938, in Kansas City, MO to George Frederick Dierking and Martha Mae (Hyatt) Dierking. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1956. Wanda married Richard Wesley Francis, the father of her two daughters, in 1958. In 1978, Wanda married Thomas “Tommy” Walter Major, the love of her life, who was killed in a work accident just days after their second anniversary. A few years later, Wanda married Arthur Glen “Buck” Crandall and enjoyed over 15 years together before Buck's death in 2002. Wanda held many jobs during her life. She was most proud of her time working as a customer service representative for National Seminars and her selection as ‘Rep of the Year” by the International Customer Service Association-Kansas City Chapter in 2005. In addition to her daughters, some of Wanda's favorite things included her cat Beaubo, going on cruises, telling a good joke, musicals, adult coloring, “spotting’ hawks, and French onion soup.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, her three husbands, and her sister, Georganna Fiester.
Wanda is survived by her children, Rhonda Marie Francis Frizzell (Dwight) and Valerie Lynn Francis; her brother, Gary Dean Dierking; and, her brother-in-law, Donald Fiester.
