Ted Joel Pollack, 75, of Springfield, Missouri passed on April 29, 2025. Ted began his life on June 25, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan as the son of Leo Anthony and Louise (nee Freese) Pollack. He graduated from St. Mary High School in Wayne, Michigan in 1967 and then received his associate’s degree in Computer Programming.
Ted left Michigan to follow in career in 1981 first settling in Denver, Colorado, then in 2018 to Spokane, Washington and finally in 2024 making his home in Springfield, Missouri.
In 2018 he retired from the VA and was able to further pursue one of his favorite hobbies of making beer and sampling it. Never one to be idle, he also began restoring gnome figurines and painting during this time. Ted enjoyed camping, traveling, and gardening, the outdoors was his friend.
He was known for his caring and kindness and over the many years rescued and homed several dogs. Ted always had time to listen to others and was loved by many.
He is predeceased by his parents Leo and Louise Pollack and one brother John Darryl (Sonny) Pollack.
Ted leaves behind to remember his always his beloved wife, Sue Bloom (nee Henderson) of the home, son, Dustin G. Pollack (Candice), daughter, Tressa M. Pollack, granddaughters, Lola Campbell (Tobias), Nina Pollack, and Hannah Sigler, step-children, Iain McFarland (Shizuka) and Hana Carlton (Alan), sister-in-law, Peggy LaChance, and nephew, Michael LaChance (Danielle).
A Funeral Service and Celebration of Ted’s Life will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Anglican church, 2751 E Galloway Street, Springfield, MO.
