Sophia Elizabeth Morris

Our beautiful angel, Sophia Elizabeth Morris, age 19, died unexpectedly, early Friday morning July, 18, 2025. Sophia was born on November 26, 2005 in Kansas City, Missouri to her father Matt Morris and her mother Heather Bronfman. She graduated from Staley High School in 2024 with aspirations of owning her own business. Sophia was working as a server at Salvatore’s Italian restaurant, where she enjoyed being around her co-workers, while simultaneously providing her the opportunity to pursue two of her favorite things…interaction with people, and making money.

Sophia was truly one of a kind! From a little girl with a smile that would light up the room, to a now beautiful, caring young woman, who’s stubbornness, finished a close second to her fierce loyalty. Her fun loving, free spirit, and occasional attraction to danger, made her into the fearless soul she was. She was a beautiful, compassionate person beloved by so many; a strong, independent woman who wasn’t afraid to stand up for what she believed in. Sophia was kind and loving, but nonetheless, was a soul struggling to find her own internal peace. She was always trying to find the best in people, often sacrificing her own best interests to help someone she thought may need it, touching numerous people’s lives with her love and kindness, along her way. Sophia leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and cherished memories that will be carried in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Sophia is survived by her parents Matt Morris and Heather Bronfman; sister, Giana Morris, and brother Anthony Sapp; grandparents, Cheryl and Mark Spurgeon; aunt(s) & uncle(s), Megan and Greg Hoffmeyer, and Christy and Mark Reinkemeyer; cousins, Max and Ava Hoffmeyer, and Kim, Erin, and Kelli Reinkemeyer.

Thank you to everyone who reached out to our family with prayers and sympathy, helping to provide comfort in our time of need. Celebration of Life will be held on Friday August 1st, 2025 at Lula’s Southern Cookhouse 1617 Main St. Kansas City, MO 64108 from 4pm-6pm. Eulogy service will begin at 4:30pm, followed by the opportunity for anyone to share their favorite stories or memories of Sophia.
