Roberta H. Haning

Roberta (Bobbi) H. Haning, 81 of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at home with her family by her side. Roberta Haning was born December 1, 1936 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Howard William and Geraldine (Johnson) Olsen. She graduated in 1954 from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. After high school, she worked for United of Omaha Life Insurance Co for ten years. On June 14, 1958 Roberta was united in marriage to Millard ‘Lu’ Haning at the First Christian Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert H. Olsen and sister-in-law Joan (Speer) Olsen of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Survivors include her husband, Millard (Lu) Haning, Kansas City, MO, daughter, Jill L. Haning, Gladstone, MO and son, Craig M. Haning, Kansas City, MO. Additional survivors include nephews, Bob C. (Laura) Olsen and Rodney C. Olsen of Council Bluffs, Iowa and niece Rebecca (Lee) Romans, Fountain Hills, Arizona. Friends may call on the family at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 27th, at the Fairview Christian Church, 1800 NE 65th Street, Gladstone, MO. A Memorial Service will follow at 4 p.m. Immediately after the service, the family invites friends to join them at the Elks Lodge, 7010 N. Cherry Avenue, Gladstone, MO.
