Robert Lee Owens of Kansas City, Missouri passed on September 15, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 23, 1942 to Harry Buckly Owens and Alta Mae (Niguett) Owens and grew up in Kansas City. His father trained horses for the Cole Brothers Circus in the 30's and 40's which lead to his love of old westerns. He joined the United States Air Force in September of 1960 and proudly served his county in England until 1964. Robert was active as a Mason in all three bodies of the York Rite and was also a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a mechanic for TWA/American Airlines for over 40 years. Not only did he love watching westerns, but also building and fixing things and all thing involving the Shriners. He was a loving husband to Virginia Owens and loving father to his five children, Louiesa, Alta, Gloria, Neil and Helen. He leaves behind his children, Louiesa Owens, Kansas City, Alta Newlin, Kansas City, Neil Figuracion, Chicago, Gloria Moody, Kansas City, and Helen Owens, Kansas City; nine grandchildren, John, Jayson, Alexis, Angie, William, Grace, Aliva, Allison and Andrew. He will be greatly missed by all of them.
