Robert George Nord

Robert George Nord, 84, passed away on January 20, 2025 at home in Lee's Summit, Missouri. He was born to Clay E. and Lois A. (Ware) Nord on July 15, 1940 in Bloomington, Minnesota. Robert joined the Air Force in 1958 and met and married his wife Mary Ann "Vicki" Vecchione in 1961 at March Air Force Base, California. Together they raised three children, Robert C. Nord, Deanna Looney (Jeffrey), and Lois Angel-Brown, as he served 20 years in the Air Force.

Robert is survived by his wife of 64 years; his three children; his sister Mary Williams; his brother Jim Nord; grandchildren April Bright, Jeremiah Looney (Janie), Jessica Looney, Jamie Angel and Madigan Brown; great grandchildren Daelin Bright, Tristin Bright, Justice Bright, Barrett Looney, Sailor Looney, Scout Looney, and Kolten Wohlberg.

On Friday, March 7 at 10 am, an urn committal with military honors for Robert will take place at the Higginsville, Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 20109 Bus, MO-13, Higginsville, MO 64037.

A celebration of life gathering will follow later that afternoon, March 7, at the family home, 1103 SW Arborfair Dr. Lee's Summit, MO 64082 starting at 2pm.
