Robert Daniel Cox Sr., 76 of Peculiar, Missouri passed on April 11, 2017 at Research Hospital. Bob was born on March 14, 1941 in North Carolina to James Eules Cox and Ollie Campbell, one of 15 children. On August 3, 1958 he joined the United States Air Force in Knoxville, TN and served his country proudly until November 19, 1992 when he retired in Warner Robbins, Georgia as a Senior Master Sergeant. Bob served in Vietnam and Desert Shield/Storm/Calm and was awarded several campaign and personal medals. Going to North Carolina for family reunions twice a year gave him great joy. Family was a very important part of his life. He took pride into assisting people by volunteering with the VFW and making sure people got a fair price on his asphalt work. He loved taking trips and taking his sisters or Delia’s grandchildren along with them to California and other places. He and Delia enjoyed taking Delia’s grandchildren, Cheyenne, Dakota, and Lucas with them to Heart of Life Church. Bob had a big heart which will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by his four children, Tim Cox of Seaford, DE, Carol Flack, of Weston, MA, Bob Cox of Johns Creek, GA, and Lynda Cox of Atlanta GA along with eight grandchildren and his companion, Delia Looney, of Peculiar, Missouri.
