

She was born in Northampton, PA on September 12, 1951 to Charles and Marvel Keiser. She was one of six children.
She moved to KS to pursue her education. First attending Sterling College, then later as a single mother of 3 she attended Washburn School of Law, where she earned her degree and became an attorney. She had a distinguished career and her early work was at the Kansas Supreme Court, followed by and retiring from the Capital as a Revisor of Statutes. She was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church in Topeka.
She is preceded in death by both daughters, Jenna Marie Jefferies (24), and Veronica Jefferies (42).
She is survived by her son Grant Jefferies (45), Sarah Lockyear, and grandsons Grant II and Grady.
She is also survived by James Osterhaus and his children with Veronica, grandsons Domonic and Aidan Osterhaus.
No funeral service will be held at the request of the deceased but a celebration of life gathering will be scheduled by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks any donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Thank you mom, for showing me that real strength is walking with compassion and kindness in an often cruel world. You are my hero, and I will carry you with me for the rest of my life, for any good found in me, was put there by you.
