He was a proud graduate of Rockhurst High School class of 1955.and resident of Kansas City, MO.
Upon graduation, Ray served this country in the United States Army for over 20 years. He was a decorated veteran and was deployed overseas several times, serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a humble and kept most of his extensive military service quiet. He was a true American hero.
Post military, Ray, known to most as a living encyclopedia, completed his undrergraduate degree in Sociology at UMKC and went on to become one of Kansas City's finest locksmiths. There wasn't a safe safe in Kansas City.
Raymond was a devoted father and grandfather. He brought his wife flowers every week for thirty years and was always available for pep talks and advice. He loved the Boy Scouts, travel and photography. He knew Kansas City inside and out and took pride in taking his family to all of the nooks and crannies it had to offer.
Raymond leaves behind his wife, Lucy Teresa Luce,, children, Darryl Luce (Catherine), James Luce (Gabby), Brian Luce (Paula), Kim Sherman (Gary Kommel), and Kelly Logan, grandchildren Anastacia, Aurora, Justin, Blaine, Michael, Clayton, William, Emmilyn, Augie, Albert, Birdie and Great grandchildren: Cayden, and Levi.
