Anyone who knew Randall, even just a little, has lost a bit of light in their lives. Randall, also known as Randy to his friends, was genuinely the star of any room he was in. He was charismatic and charming with a quick sense of humor. He would never say no to any dare, and often encouraged those around him to push their limits all in the sake of fun. His magnetic personality drew people to him and he made friends effortlessly. His big heart, vulnerability and the ability to wear his heart on his sleeve made him a lifelong friend to many. If you ever needed a hand, Randall would be first in line to help. Randall worked hard and played even harder. He was never a fan of sitting at a desk and adhering to rigid rules. He needed to be outdoors and he thrived wherever there was mud and trees and water. Randall enjoyed hunting and fishing, big trucks and bonfires, and was always surrounded by friends.
Randall Rhoads Gallagher was born on October 20, 1994, and left us far too soon on February 23, 2023, surrounded by friends and family who loved him. He is survived by his mother, Terry Jensen, of Independence, MO, sister Samantha Gallagher of Independence, MO, brother Kory Gallagher of Blue Springs, MO, and grandmother Bonnie Jensen of Homeland, CA. He is also survived by his aunt Sue Duff and partner Leo Baldonado of Modesto California, aunt Lynn Tweedie of Independence, MO and extended family of cousins; Michael Tweedie, Brian Tweedie and his wife Nidia and two children Aura and Zoe, Tricia Chretien and her partner Chris Ford and her children Aiden, Cole and Quinn, Chris Duff and his wife Blair and their children Desmond and Sunniva, and Michael Duff and his partner Margaret. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Jensen, whom he greatly admired. A quote from Carl was tattooed on his arm, "Don't worry about today, there's always tomorrow." Randall also leaves behind an extended family of his buddies who became as close as family, and their parents who all watched over Randall as one of their own. It takes a village, and everyone in Randall's village had a part in creating the man he was, and will also carry a piece of him forever.
We will miss you Randall, more than you could ever imagine, and your family and friends will honor your spirit by living every day to the fullest.
