Peter Michael Zegers

Pete was born in David City, Nebraska to Lawrence and Thelma (Kindler) Zegers on January 21, 1940.

He graduated from St. Mary's High School in David City, Nebraska in 1957.

Pete was a Navy Veteran serving from 1961 to 1964 where he was on the Midway during Vietnam. He returned to service again from 1975 to 1992 under the TAR Program. He also worked for Business Essential and KC Communications.

He was active in his church, Knights of Columbus and the VFW.

Pete is survived by his wife, Shelia (Preston) of the home, son Paul and wife Carol (Crutcher) Zegers, daughter Cynthia Zegers of the home, granddaughter Debra Zegers, grandson Joseph Zegers, brother David, sister Elizabeth (Price), brother Robert and sister-in-law Ethel, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by brothers, Richard, John, James and sister, Rosalia Buck, Phyllis Erb, and Laurie Egger, sister-in-laws, Martha, Lavone, June, Venessa, and Mary Lou, brother-in laws, Delton buck, Charles Price, Dwayne Erb, and David Egger.
