Michael Duane Engen

Mike attended Aberdeen Schools. Mike held many jobs in Aberdeen and Kansas and could handle anything put in front of him with perfection.

When Mike was younger he met Kelly Anderson, they had 1 child together.

He married Sara (Selzler) they were married 23 years, they had 3 children together.

Mike was soft spoken, kind, sensitive and caring person. Family was very important to Mike and he lived to take care of everyone. He was always smiling and enjoyed spending time at his “spot” at the lake home where he spent many hours making it a special place for the family to gather.

Mike was an avid KC Chiefs and Royals fan and enjoyed going to their games when he could. He was very proud of the American Flag and collected them in various ways and proudly displayed them at his “spot”.

The happy memories Mike left us with, including his wide smile and big blue eyes, will keep him alive in our hearts forever.

Survived by his wife, Sara, children Zachary, Andrew, Tyler, Brianna, grandchildren Alaina, Aidynn, Cole and one yet to be born, his parents Kevin (Anne) Engen Arvada CO, Debra (Kevin) Folmer, Aberdeen SD, mother in law Barb Selzler, brothers, Chad, Devils Lake ND, Travis (Lexi), Aberdeen SD, Nick, Arvada CO, and Noah, Arvada CO, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents Duane and Patsy Hestbeck, Joseph and JoAnn Engen,and his father in law Greg Selzler.
