

Born on June 21, 1950, Marvin lived a life defined by honor, duty and an unwavering love for his family. He proudly served in the United States Army in Vietnam, where his bravery and meritorious service earned him two Bronze Star Medals. His commitment to his fellow servicemen lasted a lifetime, and he was a deeply dedicated and active member of his local veterans' group.
Those who knew Marvin will remember his fierce love for his family, his loyal dogs Bentley and Piper, and his undeniable sense of adventure. He was a familiar sight around town, happily riding his trike and greeting multiple friends and neighbors throughout his community. He brought a unique energy to everything he did, balancing the quiet strength of a soldier with a genuine passion for the simple joys of life.
He is survived by his loving children and their spouses: Gregg and Dina Premer, Clay and Casie Ost, Kemp and Jamie Goode, and Joshua Ost, along with 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and his sisters Gloria Wuthrich (Otto spouse) and Rose LaRoche. He will forever live on in the hearts of his family, who will carry forward his legacy of strength, joy and love.
Marvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy Ost, who passed away on December 26,2025, as well as his parents David and Gladys Ost and Ervin and Jean Stutzman.
A service to honor Marvin’s life and military service will be held in August 2026, with details and a specific date pending. In honor of his love for fellow service members and animals, donations may be made in Marvin’s memory to a veterans organization or a local animal shelter of your choice.
